Laurie Burton

Laurie Burton is the Costing Manager for Garan Manufacturing and has worked in the Garan general office located in Starkville for 15 years. She has a bachelors degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University and over the course of her professional career has worked as a Quality Auditor and an Industrial Engineer. Laurie has had a lifelong interest in and love of art and was finally able to establish a studio for herself in 2007, when she purchased and renovated a 1930's bungalow located in downtown Starkville. Known as Wild Rose, the studio and gallery provide an outlet for Laurie, as well as other local artists, to create and showcase their art.

Artist Laurie Burton opened WildRose Studio & Gallery in 2007 to showcase her own art as well as that of fellow artists. In the gallery you will find an ecclectic mix of art on display and for sale, including old windows painted with birds and butterflies, recycled doors painted with bright, eye-catching colors, traditional oil and acrylic paintings of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes, and glass and copper mosaics. Laurie also keeps a selection of her own signature notecards, all original hand painted silk and embossed copper , suitable for both mailing and framing.
