
Artists & Art SitesAnnie CogganAnnie Coggan is a newly appointment tenure track assistant professor in the Interior Design program of the College of Art Architecture and Design at Mississippi State University. Coggan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bennington College in Vermont and her Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), Los Angeles CA. She has taught as a visiting professor at Parson School of Design and Brooklyn's Pratt Institute from 1998 to 2007. She is a principal with her husband Caleb in Coggan + Crawford Architecture and Design; until recently the firm was based in Brooklyn, NY. Fifteen years of practice in New York garnered the firm two AIA awards, a Brooklyn Building award and citation from Mayor Bloomberg for leadership in green building initiatives. This year the firm received an honor award from the Mississippi AIA. Coggan's expertise in the industry and academically is furniture design and she recently won a Design Within Reach Form + Function completion. Annie's furniture has been exhibited at A D/B project Space in Brooklyn, Gestarc Gallery in Brooklyn and Barbara Toll Fine Arts in Manhattan. Her most recently completed project is Little Building Café in Downtown Starkville, Ms. where she designed the building renovation as well as the furniture.
