Starkville Arts WalkA Self--Guided Tour of Arts and History in Public Places

The Arts Abound in Starkville

From visual art, to music and dance, to literature and history, you can experience it all. This self-guided walking tour will take you through the Cotton District down University Drive to downtown Main St. and over to the Cotton Crossing Shopping Center. Along the way, you can visit several businesses that feature the work of local artists in their stores. You can also view historical buildings, neighborhoods, the community theatre, and farmers market.

The Arts Walk project highlights the Arts, businesses, and walking in Starkville. The purpose of this project is

  • To encourage visitors and residents to walk in Starkville, allowing them to view the city from a different perspective and promoting healthy activity
  • To promote the public display of art in businesses, local artists in our community, local businesses, and historic places.

Obey all traffic laws when participating in this self-guided tour. When walking where there is no sidewalk, walk facing traffic and remain alert.

This project is brought to you by Starkville in Motion, The Starkville Area Arts Council, The Starkville Central Neighborhood Foundation, and The Cre8tive Warehouse.
